BioTrainValue at the 4th International Conference on Responsible Consumption and Production

23–24 SEPTEMBER 2025 · CHANIA, CRETE, GREECE

Representatives of BioTrainValue participated in the 4th International Conference on Responsible Consumption and Production (INCORCP 2025), organised by EURECA-PRO in Chania, Crete, Greece. The conference brought together researchers and experts to discuss responsible resource use, sustainable production and the circular economy.

During the conference, Szymon Szufa presented a poster on the techno-economic analysis of a wood biomass biorefinery using torrefaction to produce solid fuels and biochar, with a case study based on a sawmill in central Poland.

The research and resulting conference publication were made possible through collaboration between BioTrainValue partners from Lodz University of Technology, APS-Ekoinnowacje, Arigna Fuels and the Technical University of Crete, highlighting the value of international and cross-sectoral cooperation within the project.

Participation in INCORCP 2025 provided an opportunity to share research findings with the international scientific community, strengthen collaboration between project partners and contribute to discussions on sustainable biomass valorisation and responsible production.

We would like to thank EURECA-PRO for the opportunity to participate in INCORCP 2025 and for bringing together researchers committed to responsible consumption and sustainable production. We hope to meet again at the next edition of the conference!
